Detention money: four task orders

Money obligated (committed) and outlaid (paid out) on four ICE detention task orders we follow, from USAspending.gov. Obligations are dated by the contract action; outlays are reported by fiscal period and lag by weeks.

A program is cancelled when the money stops, not when the press conference happens. These orders are scored against our published predictions.

Election watch

The election cases and bills we follow, read straight from the Supreme Court docket and Congress.gov, refreshed hourly. Election Day is November 3, 2026.

What the record already shows. On September 25 the Court stayed a June 22 district court order in the SAVE case (No. 26A308) while the appeal proceeds; Justices Jackson, Sotomayor and Kagan dissented. On August 24 it stayed the injunction against Executive Order 14399 (No. 26A124). On September 14 it refused to stay the injunction against the Postal Service ballot-mail rule (No. 26A305), finding the government unlikely to succeed. RNC v. Mi Familia Vota (No. 25-1017) is set for argument on Tuesday, December 8, 2026, after the election.
